A picture flash of Storm Lake Elementary

Through out the day students are working in small groups.  These small groups to receive extra help in building skills taught in the classroom.

 8:00  A.M.  Fourth Grade math group in the library
 These students meet four days a week to practice math skills taught in the classroom.  



8:30 A.M. First Graders from Ms Wicks's room
These students are practicing poetry and reader's theatres in small groups to build reading fluency skills.



 2:15  Second Grade Students working using graphic organizers to communicate important ideas from a story.

Friday, September 30

Students Gather in the gym to participate in a Character Counts
 assembly Featuring Dan Wardell  from Iowa Public Television.


Dan Wardell uses a book to help teach the Pillars of Character

Part of the book is missing.
The students can help make the book whole again by demonstrating the Pillars of Character.

Dan Wardell released a chain from the Lochness Monster's heart
 each time a student with outstanding character was introduced.



Students were recognized for their outstanding Pillars of Character







Students were deeply honored to be recognized for demonstrating
the Pillars of Character throughout  the school day.
